Clarksburg plans 9/11 ceremony

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – The City of Clarksburg will welcome the public to a Remembrance Ceremony Friday, September 11, 2020 at 8:46 a.m. in observance of the 19th anniversary of the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001.

The ceremony includes a brief moment of silence and reflection near the flagpole in front of City Hall at 222 West Main Street. Mayor Ryan Kennedy will officiate followed by the Pledge of Allegiance by fire chief Rick Scott and taps by Veteran and VFW Post 573 Member Dave Jimeson.

Social distancing measures will be in place. The event will also be streamed online.
