Multiple agencies search for missing Fairmont woman

FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Officials in Fairmont have been searching for Bertha Sistrunk, 78, sine Friday, October 2. Sistrunk is 5-feet 5-inches tall, approximately 170 pounds with short black hair.

She was last seen Monday, September 28 at 9 p.m. on Ogden Avenue near Windmill Park. Reports indicate she could be wearing a blue and pink robe with a blue night cap and socks of Khaki or dark orange and kahki pants, a black and white floral shirt, possibly a purple sweater and or a blue/green 3/4 length jacket.

Anyone with information about Sistrunk or possibly video footage from the Odgen Avenue are to contact police at 304-366-4200.

This week, Mountaineer Area Rescue Group, Marion County Homeland Security & Emergency Management and Monongalia County Homeland Security Emergency Management Agency have helped in the search.
