One charged in Reedsville armed robbery

REEDSVILLE, W.Va. – A Reedsville man is behind bars accused of armed robbery and conspiracy following an incident that began at the Lady Luck Casino in Namacolin, Pennsylvania.

Police Dillion Pumphrey drove his brother to the casino to meet the eventual victim. There is surveillance footage showing Pumphrey in the parking lot following the victim and his brother.

Reports indicate the victim was taking Pumphrey’s brother to a party at a gated community in the Reedsville area.

When the two cars parked on McKinney Cave Road near the Rail Trail gate, Pumphrey and his brother pulled the victim from the car and subdued them with pepper spray, beat them and took $1,800 in cash and a debit card.

Pumphrey is being held in the North Central Regional Jail. No chargers have been announced for Pumphrey’s brother.
